This band doesn’t need an introduction, but if for whatever reason you are ignorant of Helloween, then go do a little research on them. Melodic metal and Sweden are synonymous with each other, and bands such as In Flames, Engel, Arch Enemy and Therion help strengthen that claim. Most of these are trumped by Helloween however – and rightly so – time and time again with their diverse discography. Their latest release is just as pleasing to the ear as it combines their entire musical career into one major release. As it has been 30 years since their first EP release ‘Helloween’, the band created an anniversary album to mark not only their third decade of metal mastery, but their 15th studio album too. ‘My God-Given Right’ is a solid release due to the amalgamated musical content that the majority, if not all of, Helloween fans through the years can appreciate.
