As well as the Mind- and Soulstage with Rammstein, Iggy Pop and Iron Maiden there will be a third stage at Rock In Vienna (3rd -5th of June, Danube Island Vienna). The “Jolly Roger Stage”, in an area of its own, will be played at the same time as the other stages. 10 acts are confirmed for the “Jolly Roger Stage”: Serum 114, the drug of conformity from Clockwork Orange was certainly an ironic choice of the punks from Frankfurt – no conformity to be expected but an unforgettable live experience.
Wage War signed their record contract in 2015 and have taken off since then: They enthused the audiences in the USA and Japan and are now coming to Austria, to Rock In Vienna. Tuxedoo added a second ”O” to their band name in 2015 and followed up with a new concept album at the beginning of 2016: “Tales from the rock mass” tells the stories of the hard life of mountain farmers with full vocal and instrumental commitment. Skinny Lister play british folk and were on the road 2015 supporting Frank Turner. Even the hardest sea dogs dance on the tables. ”Straightforward“ is the way the four members of Monster Truck from Canada are conquering the world. Whether they tour with Slash or Deep Purple or fill halls as the headliner, they heat up the audience with their long-hair always flying. Prime Circle bring along the heat of South Africa with beautiful melancholic ballads and rock hard hymns on stage.
The Whiskey Foundation create a blues-rock-sound, that sounds like the American South but comes from South Germany and causes goose bumps – a band one has to have experienced. All Faces Down celebrate the post-hardcore side of Vienna as local heroes. And they show us, that a band can handle the exit of the singer and guitarist – through the love of their own sound. Man The Mighty come from the suburbs of the jazz city Chicago, but will entertain us with finest hard rock. Black Peaks started in 2012 under the name Shrine, instrumentally at first. They quickly joined up with singer Will Gardner, who shouts his soul out live or convinces with unerring vocals.
