Deicide a legendary name in Death Metal scene. Since the late 80’s they’ve been known for their heavy music and controversial lyrics. They have definitely paved their way through history and are considered one of the founding bands in death metal. After countless of records and hits they are still going strong and are better than ever. Metal Wani’s Jackie Mtz had a chat with Legendary Steve Asheim of DEICIDE at Phoenix, Arizona. He discusses current US Tour, why they stay away from social media, status of upcoming album planned to release early next year and upcoming European tour after Summer festivals. He also talks about already existing 9 songs written, possibility of writing 4 more songs, entering the studio later this year, musical direction of the album & future plans.
Steve also talks about the death metal scene with Obituary, Cannibal Corpse, his opinion of metal bands today, possibility of having a tour package with BIG 4 of Death Metal & getting kicked of HELLFEST in 2006. Steve also talks about failure of Metallica Orion & Rockstar Mayhem festival, difference between American & European metal festivals.

I think most music festivals are miss-managed, badly planned out and excessive in cost if NOT poorly advertised.
the most commo0n reason why some festivals are shut down is due to turmoil between band genres inability to get along which IS shameful. repeating my self?
otherwise I would love to see deicide and cannibal corpse alongside Metallica and Judas priest!
