Polish death metal legends Vader need no introduction. Formed in early 1980’s, Vader has established a strong fan-base around the world by churning out quality metal albums. The band will be releasing new EP ‘Iron Times’ on 12th August via Nuclear Blast, with their new studio record ‘The Empire’ recently announced for release on 4th November’. Metal Wani’s Editor In Chief Owais ‘Vitek’ Nabi had a chat with VADER founding member and guitarist Piotr Wiwczarek & drummer James Stewart at Bangalore Open Air 2016.
They discuss playing in India for the first time, upcoming EP “Iron Times” to be released next month with a MOTORHEAD’s “Overkill” cover, tribute to late Lemmy Kilmister, upcoming new album “The Empire” which the band describes as “The Best Sounding VADER album in a long time”. They also talk about why the album release was pushed from September to November, musical direction, songwriting, death metal scene and more.
