Earlier today LIFE IS NOISE announced the hand-selected local support acts for the upcoming Black Tusk tour through New Zealand and Australia this August.
In Auckland on August 3 at the Kings Arms, straight-up red-headed doompunkers Bloodnut will be the main support backed by the nihilistic and whacked-out rhythms of fellow locals, Sere, opening the night. Batpiss, a trio of Melbournian loose screws, will hit punters hard-and-fast before the headliners on August 4 at the Reverence Hotel. Kicking off the evening will be Preston’s very own hardcore sludge lords BØG.
Melbourne’s iconic Ding Dong Lounge will play host on August 5 to the blues-infused punk sounds of main support Dead City Ruins. But there are plenty of reasons to get there early and enjoy a few pints with the fuzzed-out Swidgen setting the mood and TTTDC spinning a tapestry between rock and noise. On August 6 at the Bald Faced Stag, Black Tusk will have the devastatingly heavy support of Witch Fight—who walk a fine line between stoner and punk with ease. And soul-destroying Sydney locals Dispossessed are ready to smash skulls to start.
Wrapping up this gigantic tour in Brisbane on August 7 at Crowbar, Siberian Hell Sounds pay homage to blackened sounds of times past with an unrelenting hardcore twist and Comfort giving you a straight up crusty punk noise fest guaranteed to melt your face.
