Before his band’s headlining show at London’s notorious O2 Arena, Alter Bridge drummer Scott Phillips sits down with Metal Wani’s Matt Mills to chat about the ongoing European tour with Gojira and Volbeat, fan response to the tour so far, why they have a solid fanbase in Europe & UK as compared to U.S. when it comes to playing arenas and stadiums and his opinion on Alter Bridge getting heavier since ‘Blackbird’.
He also talks about why it wasn’t possible to expand and get heavier with Creed due to fanbase getting used to regular songs and writing an album every 3 years with other band members working on different projects. He also throws light on plans to continue the band ‘Projected’ with a new album next year which is already recorded with Sevendust members and Alter Bridge gaining fanbase after Myles Kennedy joined SLASH, upcoming touring and more.
