Director Rocio Romero and assistant director Shawn Gregory have a new short film which tells the story behind the life size bronze statue of Lemmy Kilmister located at the legendary Rainbow Bar & Grill in Hollywood, CA on Sunset strip. The Rainbow was Lemmy’s home away from home. With funding from over 16,000 fans, the statue memorializing Lemmy became a reality and was unveiled on August 25th, 2016.
The short film tells the story of how Hirax vocalist Katon de Pena and his wife Anne led the drive to fund the project with the support of the Maglieri family who own and operate the Rainbow. Artist Travis Moore was selected to design the statue and the film provides insights into that process.
