Not many would disagree that Revocation has been having a dream run up till now. Churning out five impeccable releases in their 10 years of existence is truly a fantastic achievement. At the same time, as a fan, I would be lying if I say that I don’t worry about this dream run ending. I always get this weird nervous palpitation before I push that play button for any new release by a band having such a flawless discography. However, the opening seconds of Revocation’s latest album, ‘Great Is Our Sin’ (Click Here For The Review) thankfully lay all my fears to rest.
Metal Wani’s Editor in Chief Owais ‘Vitek’ Nabi had a chat with Revocation mastermind David Davidson. David discusses the upcoming album “Great Is Our Sin”, releasing quality metal albums every 2 years, why the new album is their most dynamic, boundary pushing album of their career and working with the new drummer Ash Pearson.
David also talks about reuniting with producer Zeuss, instrumental sections of the album, lyrical approach and the detailed concept of the album. David also throws light on the progressive side of the band by incorporating lot of prog elements, having Marty Friedman on the album and with his favourite musician with whom he wishes to work in future.
